iPod maker reduces their charges on the Chinese reporters.
The thirty million Yuan defamation case against Chinese reporter Wang You and editor Weng Bao has been reconsidered by the iPod manufacterer Hongfujin Precision Industry Co. Not only has the company unfrozen the assets of the two reporters, but it has reduced the thirty million yuan ($3.8 million USA equivalent) it requested in settlement to a mere single yuan ($0.12 USA equivalent. Hongfujin wanted to eliminate the bad publicity that it had gotten through suing the two reporters.
Seamless Display develops seamless three-in-one monitor.
Everyone who's ever tried building a multi-monitor computer probably hates the little bumps in between monitors when trying to put more then one monitor in your system. And so, Seamless Display has found a creative solution to this problem. By putting a fancy array of lenses in between each monitor, the monitors look like one gigantic widescreen panoramic display. The display measures 50" diagonally, has a 16 millisecond response time, and has a 350 cd/m brightness. It also has a 500 to 1 contrast ratio. Seamless Display was founded in 2002 by former Oxford University researchers. They are known for creating amazing displays, such as a 45 inch 7680x4800 pixel display. There is no mention of the monitors price or release date, but the German site golem.de hints that it will be released in early 2007 with a price tag of roughly $16,000.
